Women of Shaheen Bagh

Never before in the history of Muslims, there arose a movement led by women to protect the constitutionally guaranteed secular and plural structure of a country as they rose in Shaheen Bagh, a small residential district in New Delhi.  Perhaps it would be appropriate to say that this women-led movement is unique in the history of the world.
No one would have thought that those who live on the margins of their community would motivate and galvanize millions around the world and mobilize them to be activists rather than passive spectators.
It is feminism at best. It is resistance at the peak, and it is a revolution with far-reaching consequences not only for Muslims in India but in the rest of the world as well.  It is not an exaggeration to foresee a future where every movement led by women will feel its impact.
It started as a protest against the notorious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) that the Hindu nationalist party government passed in India's parliament on December 11. Soon, it became the movement for the protection of India's constitution, and now it is a revolution that every law-abiding, secular, and democratic Indian wants to identify.
This movement drew crowds in millions all over the country. It led several state assemblies to pass resolutions against the CAA. It brought the secularists and democrats on one platform, and it exposed the fascists who want to turn India into a Hindutva Rashtra.
Shaheen Bagh women are average Muslim women. They do not belong to any political party or identify with any religious sect or institution.  Most of them grew up in an environment that put restrictions on their movement and participation in public life. They come from various strata of the middle-income group.
Their entry into Muslim public institutions such as mosques and Islamic centers was restricted, so they had little opportunity to listen to the religious sermons of their leaders.  Even they had gone to mosques and Islamic centers, and the speeches might have told them that their place is within the four walls of their homes, or they have to serve their husbands, or they must not speak in front of men. Yet they gathered information about their world through the internet or joining WhatsApp groups of sisters or news circulated through television, etc.
They felt suppressed in a male-dominated world. But when these women saw their daughters and sons beaten mercilessly by the Delhi police on December 15 at Jamia Millia Islamia, they could not hold their anger back. They came out in the streets against police brutality. The protest evolved into a movement for the protection of the constitution, and soon India's women, in general, responded to their sisters and daughters in Shaheen Bagh.
Today, in hundreds of cities across India are women are out on the streets braving harsh winter and vulgar attacks on their integrity and character. The fascist party's leaders called them Pakistani agents, or terrorists or traitors. Some even went to the extent of calling them, whores. Yet these women in their hijab and niqab did not let their dignity leave them. They stood their grounds firmly, and even after 70 days of protest, they are as enthusiastic as they were on the first day.
The Supreme Court of India, which symbolizes the values of a male-dominant institution, could not capture the essence of the movement. It reduced its importance by declaring a dispute over road closure. The 100-meter space these women have occupied in Shaheen Bagh has become a priority of the Court, not the constitution that these women are determined to defend.
The women of Shaheen Bagh do not trust the present government of India. In their view, it consists of fascists and liars. They believe that the ruling party is using its majority to change the ethos of India. They strongly feel that religion does not determine citizenship, and people have a right to live with dignity in their own country.
These women have shown the world that despite all obstacles and impediments, people can rise and peacefully bring about changes.  They have shown discipline, responsibility, and dedication to the cause, and they have created a role model for the women of the world. Hopefully, they will inspire Muslim women around the world to defend human dignity and plural values so that no one feels excluded.

The Movement for Human Dignity: The Movement of the Century

By Dr. Aslam Abdullah

The world is witnessing an unprecedented movement for dignity and self-respect in the narrow streets and crowded lanes of almost every nook and corner of India. It's a people's movement in the most real sense. The loudest voices in this earth-shaking epic struggle are of those who, in general, live on the periphery of society.  Women and Youth are not only the faces but the spirit of the people's march towards a brighter and better future.
It all began in the first week of December 2019. The government of India, under the leadership of the Hindu nationalist party, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), passed an amendment in India's citizenship laws that granted the right to Indian citizenship to the nationals of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan belonging to all religious communities except Muslims. The amendment stated that those had entered India before December 2014 would qualify for this provision.  It is the first time independent India used religion as a criterion of its citizenship. It goes against Article 14 of the constitution that states that the state shall not deny to any person equality before the law or the equal protection before the law within the territory of India.
The Parliament passed the law on December 11. The same day, a handful of students from the prestigious Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia, organized a peaceful sit-in at the campus against the act. The next day the numbers increased, and on December 15, students from other schools and colleges also joined the sit-in. It is on this day that the Delhi police under the instructions of the Home Ministry entered the campus uninvited and brutally beat up the students in the library, mosque and classrooms. The Police arrested several students and injured many more. The same night, the students of the Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) and Delhi University (DU) gave the call to assemble at Delhi Police Headquarters to demand action against the police brutalities. The Police released all arrested students. But what happened next was unanticipated.
Universities after universities rose against the Delhi police brutalities and rejected CAA. The next day, a few women from Shaheen Bagh went to the scene of police brutalities and stood in silence protesting against the state violence. The following day, more women came out on the streets, and then they marched back to Shaheen Bagh to begin what now has become the most prolonged mass sit-in by women in the history of India.
Millions are participating in the sit-in. Millions more are organizing similar sit-ins in different parts of India. At least 100 cities have reported similar 24/7 sits-ins by women, children, and men. Among those participating are old and young, healthy and physically challenged, rich and poor, as well as women from all religious or no religious backgrounds.
The movement inspired India's artists, writers, activists, and intellectuals who came in thousands to pay tribute to the women who, until recently, were behind the four walls of their homes. Shaheen Bagh became a place of pilgrimage to every self-respecting individual in the country and every freedom seeker.
The Hindu nationalists tried every trick to defame the movement. Yet, the women showed their determination to continue protesting against the CAA and the attempts to start a registry of citizenship known as the National Citizenship Register and National Population Register.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of India continues to lie about the citizenship act. His home minister explained to the nation in India's Parliament the chronology of citizenship act, saying that first, he would introduce CAA then NCR.  But, the Prime Minister, in his public speech, heard all over the world, denied any intention to introduce NRC. He even said that his government never used the word NCR in the last years of its power. He also denied the existence of any mass detention centers, even though his government had acknowledged their presence.
The people's movement against CAA or NRC is not about an unjust law. Instead, it is about a political culture that India is witnessing for the last six years ever since the Hindu nationalists came to power. It's a culture that promotes hatred, divisions based on religion, caste, class, and language. It's a culture that uses the law and enforcement agencies to change the secular character of the country and change the constitution. It's a culture that praises violence and honors the murderer of Gandhi Ji, the architect of India's independence. It's a culture that marginalizes minorities, women, and people belonging to the so-called lower castes.
CAA or NRC is just a symbol of resistance. Its ultimate goal is liberation from the divisive forces of hatred and bigotry.
During the last 70 years of independence, the Hindu nationalists under the leadership of Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh created a narrative of the country that described Muslims and Christians as invaders and lower castes as unworthy of living a decent life. With its extensive and well-organized cadre, the RSS infiltrated all echelons of Indian society, including law enforcement agencies, academia, and the judiciary, as well as bureaucracy. With an absolute majority in India's Parliament, it believes that it can turn India into a Hindu Rashtra on the pattern of Nazi supremacists by Hitler. The RSS founders and ideologue were in praise of Hitler, and they did not hide their intentions to reduce India's non-upper caste communities into second class citizenship.
The People's movement is against the usurpation of India by the RSS. For the soul of India, women and youth are on the streets putting their lives at stake. It is a historic moment not only for India but for the world. If India turns into a Hindu Rashtra, it will destroy not only India but also the world because the RSS version of Hindu Rashtra has no respect for science and the rights of other religions. This movement has serious implications for the world, and everyone who believes in human dignity and self-respect must take its notice.

The Demise of Hinduism in India
by Aslam Abdullah

The practice of asteya in Hinduism demands that one must not steal, nor have the intent to steal another's property through action, speech, and thoughts. Asteva is one of five major vows of Hinduism and Jainism. The other four are:
Nonviolence - Ahimsa.
Truth - Satya.
Celibacy/Chastity - Brahmacharya.
Non-attachment/Non-possession - Aparigraha.
Additionally, six sins lead the soul to hell for eternity. They are 1) Anger  2) Greediness or corruption, 3) Illegal sex, 4) Fascination to the world, 5) Ego, and 6) Jealousy.
In his Deivamani Malai, the most famous Tamil poet Saint Vallalar says that seven qualities keep us from reaching God. Kama, Anger, The mean man, Laziness, ego, and  envy
What is evident in the movement of reclaiming the Babri Masjid for building a Ram Temple is that Hinduism lost its soul. Violence was used to intimidate people. They subverted the Truth and sought worldly gains. Their leaders at the forefront were the ones implicated in rape and sexual abuse cases.   Anger was their lifestyle, and the meanness was their behavior. Egos were high, and jealousy towards Muslims was well known.
Hindus, who were claiming that they believe in Satya concocted and promoted lies. Religious leaders who vowed in the sanctity of their faith indulged in violence and used dubious means to capture the land where the Masjid stood for almost 500 years. The people swearing on their religious texts, instigated their followers to commit destruction and murder.
Every vow that Hindus make to follow their faith was broken. It is on these broken vows, Hindus would build the Temple they would dedicate to Ram, their deity, or the manifestation of Shiva.
What an irony that the Temple would now stand on the debris of Hindu values.  It is the debris piled by the people who claim to be devotees of Hinduism.
Muslims must understand that God is not their God only. He is the God of every human being. Any place that remembers him as the sole creator of the universe is sacred. The Masjid was sacred, and its destruction is the desecration of the divine sanctity. Those who plotted to defile it and changed its identity are the ones who would be held accountable. In our lifetime, we will see these people experiencing the divine wrath. It will come at the choosing of God. A Temple built on deception and violence can never be called a place to worship him. It would always remind people of the injustice, fraud, injustice, and abuse as long as that Temple remains in existence. Ram Temple would be associated with the broken vows of Hinduism.
The idea that the land allotted to Muslims instead of Babri Masjid is a symbol of injustice. Muslims are capable of building hundreds of Masajid and welfare institutions without the dole coming from those who engineered the demise of Hinduism. They should reject it and work with those Hindus who believe in the sanctity of their religion to build institutions dedicated to justice and fairness.

Hinduism in Crisis

by Dr. Aslam Abdullah
The Supreme Court verdict on Babri Masjid-Ram Temple dispute not only exposed the judicial biases against Islam and Muslims, but also highlighted the crisis Hinduism as a religion and Hindus as a nation have been going through for quite some time.
The verdict admitted a few significant findings.
  1. Muslims did not demolish the Temple to build the Babri Masjid.
  2. Muslims did not build the mosque on the site of the Temple, whose existence is not proven.
  3. The idols of Hindu deities did not emerge miraculously in the Babri Masjid; rather, they were placed under the Masjid dome by miscreants.
  4. Hindus, under the leadership of the current ruling party, religious saints, and Hindu organizations, demolished the Masjid brick by brick. It was not the first time that the Hindus harmed the Masjid. Several attempts in the past were made to demolish the Masjid.
All these recognized facts prove one point. The Hindu religious and political leadership used fabricated facts, lies, and concocted myths to promote their claim on a piece of land they allegedly called Ram Janam Bhoomi.
It proves beyond doubt that to justify their claims, the Hindu leadership can go to any length. A religious leadership that uses deception, lies, concoction, and violence to satisfy its self-perceived ideas cannot claim to represent the faith or deities they want to serve. The leadership thrives on falsehood, violence, and lies.
It is an internal crisis of Hindus and their faith. It is a crisis that is destructive to its core values.
Hindus always have claimed their faith to be truthful, tolerant, and peaceful. But the narrative they concocted to take control of the land of Babri Masjid was built on hatred and violence. They did it in the name of Ram and other religious deities.
The construction of Ram temple would not save Hinduism. Anything built on falsehood does not last. Even though the Hindu leadership might have succeeded in winning a piece of land for Ram, but they have initiated the process of the destruction of their faith.

Faith over Justice
On the day, when Kartarpur opened its arms to welcome people from all over the world to worship in the newly rebuilt birthplace of the founder of Sikh religion, the land where once stood the Babri Masjid in the north Indian city of Ajodhya for almost five hundred years was shut for Muslims forever.
One of the oldest disputes over the ownership of land finally came to an end when the Supreme Court in a unanimous decision decided to rescind the Muslim right over the land and handed it over to Hindus to reconstruct the Temple under the supervision of the Ramjanambhomi Trust. It is an irony that while Pakistan announced the decision to renovate 400 Hindu Temples in Pakistan, India's highest court decided to take away the Babri Masjid from Muslims.
The Supreme Court explained that its decision is based on the basis of law, and not on the basis of belief and traditions. Yet, the decision exposes the biases and the reliance on traditions and beliefs. This is how the Court's biases become clear.
Ram Lalla was the only part whose right to the land was acknowledged and accepted. It is part of the belief system and traditional accounts. It is not a historical fact as there are scores of places that claim to be the birthplace of Ram.
Sunni Waqf Board that has managed the mosque for centuries was not considered a legitimate body to contest the land ownership, yet the Court awarded five acres of land to the board to reconstruct a new Masjid elsewhere.
Nirmohi Akhara was not considered a party to the land dispute, yet the newly formed Trust was asked to include its members on the board.
The Court acknowledged that no temple was demolished, but the Babri Masjid was not built on vacant land.
The Court relied on the Archeological Survey of India's recommendation that said that the mosque was built on the structure that did not look like an Islamic structure, yet did not prove beyond doubt that the structure mentioned above was part of the Hindu Temple.
The Court failed to establish that there stood a Temple dedicated to Ram, yet decided to accept the traditional belief that a Temple existed on the land where the Babri Masjid was built.
The Court described the demolition of the Masjid in the 1990s unlawful, yet failed to restore the mosque to Muslims.
The Court admitted that 1949 idols of Ram were placed and they did not emerge miraculously as claimed by Hindus, yet decided to consider the mosque a place of worship for Hindus
The Court claimed that its decision is based on law, but failed to present any legal document in support of the belief that the land was the birthplace of Ram.
The Court failed to explain the existence of the Masjid for almost 500 years as a place of worship.
The Court claimed that the mosque was not used as a place of worship until the beginning of the 19th century, yet restored the right of worship to a Hindu claimant in the Masjid land where there was no proof of Hindu worship.

The court decision is based on politics and is not unbiased. But it is a decision of the highest legal institution of India. Muslims have announced their intention to accept the claim. But the acceptance does not mean that injustice is accepted. History would always record the decision of the Court a political one rooted in majoritarianism.

The RSS and White Supremacist Nexus

by Aslam Abdullah
President Trump would join India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on stage in Houston on September 22 addressing some 50,000 Modi supporters in the US. This is the first time in the history of the United States that a sitting president would share a public stage with a leader who was once banned in the US for his alleged involvement of Gujarat carnage that shook the world in 2002. Is it pure coincidence or there is something else behind the headlines.
Modi is an RSS groomed leader. His organization believes in the promotion of a Hindu Rashtra (Hindu State) with no or second class status of India's religious minorities. Trump is a businessman who has found a strong electoral ally in the form of white supremacists who want to turn the US into a white supremacist Christian country. Apparently, the agenda of the two on religious issues is diametrically opposed. Modi's RSS wants to eliminate Christians and Trump's white supremacists want to dominate the US and consider the RSS a Pagan religious entity.
But there is a connection between the White supremacists and the RSS, a connection that dates back to almost a century when the world was confronted with the menace of Hitler and Mussolini.  It was a connection that was established by a woman by the name of Savitri Devi. In fact, her birth name was Maximiani Portas that her Greek father and Engish mother gave her at in 1905 in France. She was a highly educated woman and was an ardent supporter of Hitler and his theory of a pure race. She served as a Nazi spy in India, where she went under the pretext of studying Hinduism at Shanti Niketan of Rabindra Nath Tagore and where she got married to one Mukherjee, the only known official member of the Nazi party in India. She was well versed in several Indian languages.
She believed in the purity of Arayan race and she argued that India's upper castes are the purest of the pure Aryans because they have preserved the legitimacy of their blood through practicing a strict caste system.
She wrote a book in 1939 titled a Warning to Hindusim, in which she made four main points. 1. Hindu upper castes are the real pure Aryans and India belongs to them only. 2. Other religious groups can live in India, but under the domination of Hindu upper castes. 3. Muslims pose the greatest danger to Hindus through their population growth and without checking this explosion, Hindu upper castes cannot preserve their identity. 4. In order for Hindus to gain supremacy in India, they must demonstrate militancy and be seen as warriors.
The preface of the book was written by Gopal Savarkar, the elder brother of Damodaran veer Sarvarkat one of the prominent leaders of the Hindu Mahasabha and ardent believer in Hindu Supremacy.
Savitri Devi was a great admirer of Sararkar and she wrote several articles in RSS and Hindu Mahasabha related publications highlighting her passion for Hindu upper castes. She was the one who paved the way for RSS activists to stay in touch with White Supremacists. The relations that were established by Savitry Devi were consolidated by frequent visits of white supremacist leaders and workers to Ashrams and seminars run by the RSS in India.
These are the relations that are now paying rich dividends to the RSS inspired Hindus in the USA. Not only, they have embraced the Islamophobic agenda of the white supremacists, but they have also aligned with Trump as a real ally of the RSS.
Trump was apparently advised by white supremacist leaders in the country to join Modi. This was also the advice given by the pro-Neytanyahoo camp in the USA that believes that India is the only country that can contain a nuclear Pakistan. It is in this context that the shaking of hands between an apparent racist and a known fascist should be seen. Trump has eyes on the next election. He understands the monetary power of some 2.4 million Hindus in the US, even though the number of Hindu voters is less than half a million. But with 40,000 medical doctors, 34 percent IT force and a heavy presence in the real estate sector they form a formidable electoral group, Trump would love to be his supporters. Even though it is the Democratic party that has four of its congresspersons from the Hindu community, but under the changing political landscape, it is the Republicans under Trump that the Hindu majority in the US, inspired by the RSS is supportive of without realizing that their tactical alliance would ultimately hurt their own religious community.

The customers of Muslim Prostitutes

The Muslim prostitutes of India have many customers. The recent ones include the RSS, the BJP and similar outfits belonging to the Hindutva ideology. The RSS is founded on the idea of Golwalkar who known as Guruji. Modi is a disciple of Guruji and his main admirer. Here is what Goldwarkar wrote about India, its Muslim population and other minorities.
Golwalkar, "guruji'' said in his book `We on Our Nationhood Defined':
"To keep up the purity of the race and its culture, Germany shocked the world by her purging the country of the Semitic races — the Jews. Race pride at its highest has been manifested here, a good lesson for us in Hindustan to learn and profit by.''
Gurujis views on minorities:
"Foreign elements'' (Christians and Muslims) may "live at the mercy'' of the "national race (Aryan Hindus) as long as the national race may allow them to do so and to quit the country at the sweet will of the national race. That is the only sound view on the minorities' problem. That is the only logical and correct solution.''
This doctrine is the reason for Hindu aggressiveness and hostility towards Minorities.
"Bharat main Rehna hai to vande matram kehna hoga" If you have to live in India, have to say I worship mother India."
M.S. Golwalkar further wrote that the "hostile elements within the country pose a far greater menace to national security than aggressors from outside". He identifies three major "Internal Threats: I: The Muslims; II: The Christians; III: The Communists". A long chapter impugns the patriotism of these groups, speaking darkly of their "future aggressive designs on our country".
Below is the piece from Freedom at midnight:
Golwalkar, on December 6, 1947, the police report on this meeting says it discussed how to "assassinate the leading persons of the Congress in order to terrorize the public and to get their hold over them”. Two days later, Golwalkar addressed a crowd of several thousand volunteers at the Rohtak Road Camp in Delhi. The police reporter in attendance wrote that the RSS leader said that "the Sangh will not rest content until it had finished Pakistan. If anyone stood in our way, we will have to finish them too, whether it was Nehru Government or any other Government... " Referring to Muslims, he said that no power on earth could keep them in Hindustan. They should have to quit this country... "If they were made to stay here the responsibility would be the Government's and the Hindu community would not be responsible. Mahatma Gandhi could not mislead them any longer. We have the means whereby [our] opponents could be immediately silenced".
These are Golwalkars views on non-Hindus.
"In this land Hindus have been the owners, Parsis and Jews the guests, and Muslims and Christians, the dacoits". He asked, maliciously: "Then do all these have the same right over the country?"
Golwalkar saw Muslims, Christians and Communists (among others) as threats to the nation.”

The Muslim Prostitutes of India

The English language has this word, "prostitution," used mainly about the practice or occupation of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment. Its synonyms are whoring, sex tourism, the sex industry, street-walking,  escorting, call girls, or the sex workers. In general, all religions and cultures denounce this practice and call it a sin.
But the word has also another meaning. The unworthy or corrupt use of one's talents for the sake of personal or financial gain is also called prostitution. This second definition is more appropriate than the first one. In the case of the first instance, a person sells one's body or rents it for some time in return for some payment. But in the second instance, a person or a group of people sells their conscientious, their faith, their ideals for some gains best known to them.
Throughout human history, the people belonging to the second category have outnumbered the people in the first category. Yet, the world, mostly talks about the first set of people and ignore the second. Not only that, but it applauds them for doing so.
In general, the people of the second category are abundantly found in religious circles, political movements, politicians, academicians, and social worker as well as in almost every field of life.
Among religious circles and politicians, this prostitution is widespread beyond one's imagination. Recently, in India, two such cases of prostitution have come to limelight. One involves a religious person and the other a politician. The name of the religious person is Arshad Madani, who is often known as Maulana (Our Lord), Arshad Madani and the second one is known as Arif Muhammad Khan. Interestingly, both are Muslims and have in two words that are associated with a religious figure always described by his followers as the perfect human being, i.e., Mohammad and Madani.
Madani is a scholar of Hadith and also the President of an organization called Jamiat Ulama, Hind, or the Council of Scholars of India. Khan has been a former President of the student union of the most prestigious Muslim university, the Muslim University of Aligarh as well as the member of India's parliament and a cabinet minister. Recently, both 0f these people prostituted or sold one of the most precious human commodity known as conscious for some visible and invisible gains. Khan accepted the governorship of an Indian state and Madani announced his decision to work with an organization whose declared policy is to make India free of Muslims and other minorities and who is viewed as a terrorist organization. The institution Madani represents is often accused of a promoter of terrorism.
The RSS and its political wing have watched with applause the lynching of Muslims and Dalits in India. They both are committed to restoring a Hindu order in India that establishes a hierarchical system based on the birth of an individual and institutionalizes inequality. They both are responsible for creating the world's largest concentration camp in Kashmir, where Muslims have been forced to live in pathetic sub-human condition for their political views.
Khan and Madani have joined their ranks and endorsed their policies. Khan has already been rewarded. Madani's reward would be in the form of concessions and financial handouts to Dar Ul Uloom, Deoband. The reason Madani also prostituted his conscious also involves his ties with the despotic rulers of the Gulf and their prostituting scholars. Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries recently awarded the leader of the RSS and BJP their highest national civilian award endorsing the lynching, the killing, and violence against innocent people. Madani was inspired by his religious masters in the Gulf and agreed to prostitute his and with him the consciousness of his kind who run thousands of Muslims seminaries in India. With, this prostitution common among the body of Islamic scholars in India, the Muslim community of India is now being led to a future that it is unable to fathom and figure out.

US Congress and Kashmir Crisis

by Dr. Aslam Abdullah
The possibility of a nuclear showdown between India and Pakistan cannot be ruled out if the world fails to honor its pledge given to the people of Kashmir in the UN in 1948, assuring them the right to self-determination. The world cannot allow a nuclear disaster that might claim over one billion lives as well as irreparable damage to everything the human civilization has built over 5,000 years.
The showdown is not about a piece of land called Kashmir. It is not about who owns the beautiful valley of the land described by many as the paradise on the earth. It’s about two ideologies. One side believes in the suppression of people’s rights to promote hegemonic ideas shrouded in hatred and animosity, and the other stands for people's right to determine their own future freely and fearlessly.
India’s ruling elites have cut off Kashmir from the rest of the world by imposing a curfew, by deploying almost one million armed personnel, and by arresting children, youth, women, and elderly who can walk and protest in the streets.
How many have been killed and tortured to death in Kashmir? No one is allowed to know because the government of India has imposed draconian censorship. The satellite technology cannot estimate the number of people killed at homes and in the streets. But the satellite images give data about the number of protest rallies that have been held in Kashmir since August 5, when the people were asked to shut themselves in their homes.
Patients are dying at home. Young mothers are dying at home for being unable to go to the hospital for delivering babies. Dialysis patients are losing lives because they cannot get the treatment and lack of medicine is creating a disaster of unheard proportion.
The power elites of Delhi are not ready to allow Kashmiris to express their ideas freely and fearlessly. They have already bought and intimidated a great majority of journalists who are being mouth fed news about Kashmir. The government has become the biggest circulator of lies and false news.
The power elites in India belong to the RSS (an Indian right-wing Hindu nationalist organization) and its allied organizations, including the BJP (the pro-Hindu political party of post-independence India). The RSS believes in a minority free India. It reveres Hitler and Mussolini, the two well-known Christian fascists. It believes that India is only for Hindus and the minorities either have to leave the country or convert to Hinduism.
Kashmir was given special status at the time of independence because both India and Pakistan assured its people that they would have the right to choose either of the two countries for their final accession.
For almost 70 years the issue of Kashmir was forgotten. But India brought it out at the international level when it stripped Kashmir of special status and annexed it as a union territory against all its promises in the United Nations.
Since then almost anyone that matters in the world has spoken on the issue. And now the US Congress members have also started bringing up the Kashmir issue with the context of human rights.
“I am excited to see so many members joining us in calling attention to what is happening in Kashmir. Please continue to call your members and ask them to speak up. We expect openness from India,” Representative Ilhan Omar, a Minnesota Democrat, tweeted, referring to a comment on Kashmir from Ted Lieu, a California Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives. He tweeted that he had heard from his constituents that they were unable to reach their families in Kashmir. “Democracies like India should not be engaging in a communications blackout that has lasted over three weeks. We need de-escalation, not the hiding of what’s happening,” Lieu had said on Twitter, referring to a tweet from Representative Don Boyer, a Virginia Democrat.
The number of lawmakers commenting on Kashmir is likely to increase when the Congress reconvenes in September.
Additionally, the first Indian-American lawmaker in the House of Representatives, Pramila Jayapal also issued a statement saying that she was troubled over reports of arrests in Jammu and Kashmir after India revoked Article 370 of the constitution that granted special status to the state.
“We have taken this decision because we have found that over 70 years, the level of development in the State has been hampered by the so-called ‘special status’ that the State enjoys, which in any case was a temporary provision…,” Ambassador to the U.S. Harsh Vardhan Shringla had told Fox News earlier in August. “Deeply troubled by reports of Indian Govt’s arrests of 2,000 in Kashmir…,” Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal said in a statement.
“Democracy requires transparency, due process, and freedom of assembly and speech. These are absolutely essential, even in the most complex of situations,” said Jayapal, who is considered as champion on human rights issues in the Congress. She also shared a New York Times news report on her Twitter account.
Moreover, Congressman Adam Schiff of California also said that fundamental human rights like free speech and access to information must be protected. Congressman Peter King of New York also met the Indian Consul General in New York to discuss “India-Pakistan the dispute” over Kashmir. “Met with Consul General of India to discuss the India-Pakistan dispute over Kashmir. Told him I understood India’s action & had concerns over Islamist elements in Pakistan & Kashmir. But b/c of sensitivity & both countries being nuclear powers urged need to seek a diplomatic solution,” King wrote. “Very concerned about the situation in Kashmir, particularly the ongoing communications blackout,” said Congressman Don Beyer.

The Lynch Nation

By Dr. Aslam Abdullah
Dalits are considered impure and the filthiest in the hierarchy determined by birth in Hinduism. They have always lived on the periphery of Hindu religion and society. Muslims in India, by and large, are the descendants of Dalits or so-called untouchables who decided to accept Islam as doors leading to dignity in their birth religion were locked.
Now the two communities have become a target of Hindu terrorists who under various pretexts create conditions for an agitated mob to lynch them. The police, representing the ethos of terrorists, record only those incidents captured by someone on cameras. Otherwise, hundreds of such incidents remain unreported and often publicly unheard. The lynching of Dalit is a simple act. Some people belonging to upper caste catch a Dalit under any pretext, false or real, and beat him or her until death. But in Muslim lynching, they add a religious element too. They catch a Muslim, accuse him of stealing, then force him to say Jai Shri Ram and keep on hitting him or her with sticks, stones and knives until death. The number of people lynched during the reign of the current Prime Minister is about 100 reported cases. The unreported incidents may run into thousands.
Most of the upper caste lynchers belong to the Rashtriya Swayam Sangh, Bhartiya Janta Party, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, and Hindu Vishwa Parishad. They are all rooted in an ideology of Hindu supremacy and in the idea that India is primarily from Hindus and only upper castes have a right to rule over India or decide who the rulers should be. They believe that Dalits being part of the filthiest social strata of their society must always be subservient to them. They also believe that current Muslims were Dalits who were forcibly converted to Islam and now it is their obligation to bring them back to their religion, especially when a section of them created a country by the name of Pakistan for itself.
The main reason given by the lynchers for their action is their utmost reverence for cows they consider the mother of Hinduism. They worship him and they see that slaughter of cows of Muslims a direct attack on their religion.
India has banned slaughtering cows but allows the slaughter of buffalo and oxen. But there are states such as Kerala, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and West Bengal where cow slaughter is not prohibited. Some of these states are controlled by the Hindu nationalist party BJP.
Additionally, India is also the largest beef exporter in the world. As per the report of Export Genius, India is the largest beef exporter in the world followed by Brazil and Australia. It registered an export value of $3,680 million USD by beef exports from the world's output ($19,886 million USD) in 2016. The number is much higher in 2019. Ironically, all the beef exporting companies that operate under Arabic sounding names, are owned by upper-caste Hindus directly or through providers.
The anger of the lynching mob is not directed against the beef exporting countries. Their targets are Muslims and Dalits.
So far, the government of India has not taken any meaningful action against the lynching mobs or their leaders. On the contrary, several senior members of the ruling party have supported the lynchers by facilitating them or honoring them. Only the northern states of Rajasthan and the central state of Madhya Pradesh led by the Congress party have declared lynching a punishable offense. However, even in those states, it is the police that has the power to reject filing an FIR if a case of lynching is brought.
The silence of national political leaders and a great majority of Hindu religious leaders, clearly indicate that lynching is not just a reactionary act, it is a well-planned act to create fear and intimidation in the Muslim and Dalit communities.
The lynching of Muslims and Dalit in India is, ironically, backed by several Hindu supporters of BJP and RSS in the United States. These individuals who may be holding important positions in several India or Hindu related organizations, send millions of dollars annually to Hindu outfits in India that are engaged in promoting hatred. Many people fear that their growing influence in US politics might create conditions like India against Muslims and Dalits in the US.
Muslim organizations are generally silent on this issue all around the world and more so in the United States. None of them has so far taken a strong position or filed any petition on lynching with the State Department of the diplomatic mission of India.
The continued lynching, and the apathy of Muslim organization abroad in general coupled with the increased support for lynchers in the Indian community in the USA point to a dangerous future, a future where a whole community of over 200 million may be subject to genocidal actions by Hindu terrorists.

Why a self-respecting person will not say Jai Shri Ram?

By Dr. Aslam Abdullah
Among the ruling elites of India comprising mainly people of the so-called upper castes is the growing notion that India is meant to be ruled only by people approved by them or from amongst them. They believe as propagated by the Hindu nationalist organization the Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS) that Christians, Sikhs, Muslims, Buddhists, Jains, and even pagans were forced to renounce Hinduism and renounce their belief in the supremacy of Hinduism and Rama and Krishna, the two deities whose origin and existence is part of the Hindu folklore.  Since non-Hindu religious minorities were forcibly converted, hence, it is the obligation of upper castes to bring them back to Hinduism and make them pronounce the glory of Ram and Krishna.
With 30 percent of Indians belonging to non-Hindu religious minorities and some 50 percent coming from the castes described lower castes and tribes described scheduled, the task of reconversion is a monumental task. But this is the task that the RSS and its affiliated groups have given a priority.
I am an Indian by birth and I was born in a Muslim family. I have no reason to believe that my forefathers came from Arabia or Central Asia. I have no hesitation in accepting the Hindu heritage of my forefathers. I am not aware if they were forcibly converted from Hinduism to Islam. But what I can say is that I validate their conversion and admire them for believing in Islam and passing on to their generations till i was born. Now it is my obligation to live their legacy and commitment and pass it on to my next generations.
I admire them for their decision to accept Islam because that was the only avenue available in India in those dark ages to live as dignified human beings. As members of non-upper castes, I am sure, many of the peers of my forefathers were living the miserable life like the people designated as lower castes by Hindu religions. They were living outside the pale of human civilization. They had no dignity. Their job was to serve the upper castes in every possible way. Their women were like sexual objects for their men. They were not allowed to protest if their daughter or wives or mothers or sisters were raped. They were not allowed to even visit the areas of the upper caste unless they have to remove their feces and dirt. They were not allowed to drink water from their wells. They were not even allowed to visit the temples to pray to deities. In fact, the tradition of killing a low caste person for reading the holy scripture set by Rama was there to perpetuate the religiously sanctioned in humanity. Manu Smiriti, the book that degrades lower castes, was the law of the day.
In this inhuman and choking condition, Islam came with its ideals of equality, humanity, and prosperity. It told people that human beings are equal and people cannot be termed as low and high based on their birth. People achieve a higher status in the eyes of God because of their good deeds and upright character. It told them that women are not the property of anyone. They have an independent identity and are equally responsible for their action and life. It told them that religious institutions are not to be monopolized by people claiming to be upper castes. It told them in the eyes of God all are his creation and no one is to be deprived of his or her dignity because of his or her birth. It challenged the false notion propagated by the upper caste Hindus that menial jobs are to be performed only by the lower caste. It demolished the idea that birth status has anything to do with the nature of work people choose to do in life. It liberated them from the injustices their forefathers had lived for thousands of years in the name of God and his message.
It was the right decision of my forefathers to abandon a faith that divided human being into low and high based on their birth. I have no hesitation to admit that over the years, many of my forefathers succumbed to the menace of Hindu hierarchy and they created the false divisions of Ashraf and Azlal. They promoted discrimination on the basis of their birth. They went against the decisions and intentions of their forefathers.
My forefathers did not accept Islam to prove their superiority over others. They accepted Islam because they wanted equality, respect and dignity, and upper mobility in life in every sphere even in religious matters.
So the upper castes have no right to question me or my forefathers. Because we believe that by accepting Islam, we strengthened India as a country that stands for equality, justice, and humanity, something that Hinduism, as promoted by those who shout Jai Sri Ram, cannot offer. The very fact that religious minorities are being forced to say Jai Sri Ram is itself a proof of the intolerance and hatred such groups show to God and humanity.
I am glad that my forefathers did not accept Ram as a glorified one because of his killing of a lower caste as reported in Ramayana. I am glad they renounced Hinduism. I am glad, that they used their conscientious to liberate them from the bondage of upper castes. I hail their decision and I stand by them. I will never say Jai Shri Ram and I will proudly declare that my forefathers did the right thing to challenge the upper caste hegemony on God.
I believe that I am not alone in my assertions. Muslims of India in general support this position. There are millions and millions who reject Hinduism because of its castes and disrespect to human beings who do not belong to the upper castes.

The Electoral Strategy BJP used to take over India

by Dr. Aslam Abdullah

The BJP and its allies won the last parliamentary election on the strength of a well organized and disciplined RSS cadre. With millions of its members all over the country and with financial resources unmatched by any organization in the history of India's elections, the BJP and its allies won an almost 2/3rd majority of 543 parliamentary seats.
Voters did not vote on the performance of the Modi government, rather, they voted on a vision of India that RSS workers fed them day in and day out much before the elections. Millions of them went door to door talking to men, women, and youth using all the resources they could find to sell the vision that RSS has worked tirelessly since 1925 when it was formed.
Its a remarkable success on the part of an organization banned twice in India and accused of supporting the murderer of Gandhiji, the main architect of India's freedom. It is a story of India's love for an organization that is rooted in hatred of minorities, an organization that supported the British colonialists and spied against the freedom fighters.
Of course, electronic voting machines (EVM) played a significant role and big rallies created the perception of a BJP wave, but they alone did not bring victory to the Hindu nationalist organization. One to one contact at grassroots level did. It was the dedication of RSS workers who worked tirelessly for promoting their vision at the grassroots levels.
None of the opposition parties has that cadre and dedicated workers. None has the resources to match. Each one of their leaders is involved in some scandals at a certain point of his or her life and each has relied on RSS in one way or the other to secure their political status.
As long as RSS cadre is with BJP, India's 63 percent voters would not be able to remove the BJP in electoral campaigns. Because elections are won by those who bring their voters on the polling booth on the election day.
Our invisible researchers in 15 states namely, Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, West Bengal. Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Himachal, Karnataka, Telangana, Punjab, and Delhi found similarities in the campaign propaganda and style. In each state the language was different, the style varied, but the content was more or less the same. Here is what the researchers heard the BJP campaigners tell the voters.
1 Modi is the new divine avatar sent to liberate Hindus from centuries-old slavery to Muslims and Christians.
2. Muslims and Christians were essentially cruel towards Hindus. They killed Hindus indiscriminately, raped their women, converted their temples into their places of worship and persecuted the upper castes.
3. Muslims desecrated Hindu places of worship.
4. They forcibly converted Hindus to Islam.
5. They created their own country where Hindus are being persecuted.
6. Without getting rid of Muslims, Hindus would not have self-dignity.
7. Muslims cannot be trusted. They will always go against the interests of Hindus.
8, Muslims are anti-Hindus as they slaughter the cow.
9. Muslims have a plan to overtake the Hindu population of the country by producing more.
10. Muslims are a burden on India.
11. Only Modi with a tough stand can teach Muslims a lesson.
12. Modi has proven in Gujarat that he can defeat the Muslim menace.
13. Once Modi comes to power again, Muslims will be forced to behave.
14. As Hindus converted to Islam under the pressure of foreign invading Muslim armies, so will Muslim succumb to the power of Hindus and re-enter Hinduism.
15. Muslims of Shia origin are also fed up with Muslim mainstream, hence they are supporting Modi.
16. Muslim women are supportive of Modi because he liberated them from the scourage of triple talaq.
17. If Modi and BJP lost this election, Hindus will be subjugated for a long time.
18. The opposition would appease Muslims and sell the soul of Hinduism to Muslims.
19. The opposition is led by people who are foreign agents and could be hidden Muslims.
20. The opposition would sell off Kashmir to Pakistan, while Modi would help liberate Pakistan occupied Kashmir also.
In defense of their campaign propaganda, they quoted concocted history, fabricated anecdotes, and false myths. They were convinced that a Modi defeat would destroy Hinduism from its core relegating Hindus to a point of no return.
The campaign was primarily an anti-muslim campaign, even though a substantial number of Muslims were supportive of Modi because of his favors to several Muslim sects and religious groups.
The BJp used not only its volunteers but officials sympathetic to its ideology at the grassroots levels who in their private and official capacities became the party spokespersons. The grassroots workers were given the task to ensure that the voters they have talked to are brought to polling booths on the day of the election. The money was distributed freely and intoxicants were freely available on the eve of elections.
It is this propaganda that was invisible to the media that was busy covering the big rallies and focussing on stories that were irrelevant.
EVM manipulation is an accusation and given the fact that bureaucracy is owned by BJP, it is difficult to prove it. Unless the manufacturers and programmers of the machine reveal inside stories, it would be almost impossible to prove the accusation. Every computer software can be manipulated and hacked. Money has the power to silence even the worst critics.
The secular forces are weak. They have not yet convinced Indian masses that even Muslims or Christians or atheists can also be patriotic Indian, while RSS has convinced BJP supporters that only a Hindu belonging to RSS or any of its outfits can be a true Indian.
Now Modi has come to power and RSS is in total control of most of India, what is going to happen.
Doubtlessly, the RSS would implement its Hindutva agenda as quickly as possible through government schemes. It would do it quietly without making news of it. It has the infrastructure to do so. Its workers would harass Muslims at various levels. Some would be stripped of their citizenship. Some would be forced to leave the homes they have been living for centuries. Some would lose their jobs and their land and some would be intimidated to convert to Hinduism. Muslims and other minorities would continue to be pushed to the margins of society.
The opposition at present has no stamina to withstand the RSS onslaught. For the next few years or decades, India would witness the rise of Hindutva fanaticism and only when this fanaticism would start hurting the Hindus who would find the RSS ideology divisive and harmful to India, India might witness some change. Until then keep on counting the numbers of lynched bodies, the raped women, the discriminated people, and the humiliated communities.  An assertive Hindutva wants to get even with Muslims in crimes it accuses Muslims of committing during the rule of Khlijis, Tughlaq, Lodhis or Mughals.

What's in a name?

by Dr. Aslam Abdullah
The Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS), through its sectarian policies, is creating conditions of the division of India on the basis of caste, religion, and ethnicity. By renaming that sounded non-Brahman or non-upper-castes the organization that has its strongest presence in all aspects of Indian life is sending a clear message to minorities and Hindus who do not share its version of history that India is not for them and if they have to live in the country, they will have to submit to the RSS vision of nationalism.
Its campaign to change Muslim or Christian sounding names is not different than what the Taliban did in Afghanistan when they destroyed Buddhist structures or the ISIS did in Iraq and other places when it demolished historical monuments reminiscent of other religions. The RSS is doing exactly the same by changing names and removing all traces of history that contradicts its views on India.
The policy which is no different cultural genocide would leave few options for India's Dalits, non-upper-caste Hindus or Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians, Muslims, Pagans, Jains and even non-RSS Hindus. In India's, six out of 29 states the Brahman or the upper caste of Hindus are between 10 and 20 percent of the population. In the remaining states, they are between one and nine percent, Uttarakhand has 20 percent, while Andhra Pradesh has one percent of Brahmans.
In the nation, they are less than five percent but they occupy the majority of influential places.
The caste with the highest population in India is known Other Backward Class or Castes. They account for more than 70% of the total Indian population. The lowest of the castes are described as the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. They are about 16.6% and 8.6%, respectively, of India's population. The states with the highest number of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Chattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh
Despite the fact that lower castes and backward communities suffer the worst treatment socially and religiously, the RSS and its political leadership have cleverly projected itself as a party of Hindus trying to save India from the culture of Muslim and Christian invaders and from the deviant behavior of religions that emerged in opposition to caste hierarchy perpetuated by Brahman.
Even though scholars regard Hinduism as a synthesis of various Indian cultures and traditions, with diverse roots and no single founder, the RSS views India as a special place in the world of Hindu deities, a place that India never achieved under its political rulers who despite sharing the same religious traditions never created a united India. The RSS believes that it has a divine mission to accomplish by turning India into a pure Hindu state in the image of its ideal.
Not all Hindus agree with that vision. Certainly, non-Hindus such as Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, Muslims, and pagans have different perspectives on India and its history. Yet, the RSS asserts that it owns India and if anyone claims to be Indian must accept its vision of the country.
The RSS and its political wing BJP are not only aware of the electoral advantage they might gain through this campaign but are also clear about their policies especially towards Muslims. The RSS view Muslims as invaders who challenged India's caste system and Brahmanical hegemony. They blame Muslims for the conversion of Dalits and other lower castes to Islam. They accuse Muslims of abducting their women and molesting them. They propagate, that Muslim rulers during their rule in India demolished Hindu temples and subjugated Hindu masses. They even say that culturally, Muslims did everything to humiliate Hindus either in the form of beef-eating or adopting a lifestyle that was different than the Brahmanical domination.
The RSS believes that without humiliating Muslims and reducing them to a nonentity, Hindus dignity cannot be restored. Brahmans and other upper castes are aware of their numerical weakness. They know that without the strength of Dalits and other backward communities, they cannot impact India's electoral politics. Hence, they poisoned the minds of Dalits and backward communities by projecting Muslims and Islam as enemies of India and Hinduism. In their effort to win over Dalits, they always use the Pakistan card saying that Muslims opted out of a united India by carving their own state in the name of religion, thus, forfeiting their right to live in India. They should either convert to Hinduism or settle in Pakistan. They have always questioned the loyalties of Muslims in India and projected them without any evidence as traitors.
But, the RSS, also is a grassroots organization with a militancy. It holds its daily militant activities and it also runs several welfares and educational projects in thousands of India's villages. Through these projects, it spreads its ideology of an assertive Brahmanism that calls for the restoration of the purity of India by removing elements that caused India to lose its uniqueness in the world.
Obviously, this view would be challenged by Indians of all faiths and ethnic groups. The resistance would either lead to various civil wars or several divisions of the country. The RSS in it animosity of Muslims have gone far ignoring the history of India and Hindu rulers. It certainly is leading India to its most dangerous future, a future where India that we see today would not exist.

RSS Terrorism Poses Threat to India's unity and the world Peace

Their line of thinking is very clear and simple. After over a thousand years, upper-caste Hindus have now total control of power over the whole of India, something not even the most powerful Hindu kings and Rajas had and if this power is not used to shape the faith and society in their image, they would never get a second chance. The Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS), the mother of all Hindutva parties in India does not believe in secularism, pluralism or minority rights because in its view the minorities were all part of the Hindu caste system who were converted to Islam, Buddhism, Christianity or Sikhism through force or through bribes, In their views in order for gods to be happy, Hinduism must retain its caste hierarchy and since the conversions have brought imbalance in the structure and function of the faith, hence the converted ones have to be brought back by any means. If they do not return, then they must be annihilated because those who by birth is defined as impure cannot be equal to those who are pure.
This is as simple and clear as one can state. Yes, their ideologues and propagandists may say whatever to justify their political or religious perspective, but the truth cannot be denied that they are all for a system of government called Ram Rajya.
What is Ram Rajya?
Nothing but a system that through the might of the Kshatriya (warrior class) and the money of the  Vaishyas: agriculturalists and merchants and the labor of Shudras, laborers and service providers would empower Brahmans to set the directions of the state on the basis of the guidance of gods and goddesses.
In this classification system, Dalits and tribals are not included. They are called avarna or caste less. Their existence is meaningless. Muslims, Christians, and people of all other faiths with the exception of Jainism are considered untouchables whose shadow makes things profane.
In Rigveda, the above classification is described in this way:
When they divided Purusa how many portions did they make?
What do they call his mouth, his arms? What do they call his thighs and feet?
The Brahman was his mouth, of both his arms was the Rajanya made.
His thighs became the Vaishya, from his feet the Shudra was produced.
Ram Rajya is the system to restore this division and inequality.
Even though Rama is a mythological figure and there is no historical record of his existence in the physical realm, the Ramayana, the Hindu epic that describes the Ram Rajya records the following incident in which a Dalit was killed by Rama simply because he was trying to imitate upper caste in his religious knowledge. The following story from Ramayana illustrates this:

An aged peasant, a brahmin, bearing his dead child in his arms came to the palace gate, weeping and crying out again and again “What sin did I commit in a previous existence?" Overcome with paternal grief, he repeated “0 My Son, My Son! Ah! Of what fault was I formerly guilty in another body that I should see mine only son meet with deathThis boy had not yet reached adolescence, his fourteenth year not having been completed! To my misfortune, before his time, this dear child has been struck down by death! In a few days, I and thy mother too will die of grief, O Dear Child! I do not recollect ever to have uttered a lie; I do not remember ever inflicting an injury to any animal or doing harm to any person! The People perish under the unrighteous rule of an impious monarch. The evil conduct of a king brings about the premature death of his subjects. When, in the cities and country, crimes are committed and no supervision is exercised, then death is to be feared! Undoubtedly the king will be held to be at fault in the city and country, hence the death of this child." Such were the countless recriminations that the unfortunate father addressed to the king whilst he clasped his son to his breast. The piteous lamentations of that unfortunate brahmin reached the ears of the king and he, in the profound distress, called together his ministers, Vasishtha and Vamadeva, with his brothers and the elders of the city also. Then eight brahmins were ushered into the king's presence by Vasishtha, who resembled a God, and they said: "May prosperity attend thee!" Thereafter those foremost of the Twice-born, Markandeya, Maudgajya, Vamadeva, Kashyapa, Katyayana, Javali, Gautama and Narada took their seats, and those Rishis being assembled, Rama paid obeisance to them with joined palms. Then the ministers and citizens received a cordial welcome, as was fitting, and all those highly effulgent persons being seated near him, Raghava informed them of the reproaches of that Twice-born One. Hearing the words of the prince, who was fined with distress, Narada himself made this memorable reply in the assembly of the Sages “Learn, O King, what has caused the untimely death of this child! When thou art conversant therewith, do what thou considerest to be thy duty! O Prince, Joy of the Raghus, formerly in the Krita Yuga, the brahmins alone practiced asceticism; he who was not a brahmin in no wise undertook it. At the close of that age, all was consumed and absorbed into Brahman. Thereafter the 5 brahmins were re-born enlightened and endowed with the gift of immortality. In that age, none died prematurely and all were wise. The Treta Yuga followed when the sons of Manu were born, one who practiced austerities; these noblemen were the rulers, and full of power and heroism. In that era, Brahmins and Kshatriyas were equal in power nor could any distinction be found amongst them; it was then that the four castes were established. In the Treta Yuga, brahmins and warriors practiced asceticism and the rest were under the supreme obligation of obedience, proper to the Vaishya and Shudra classes; the Shudras' duty being to serve the other three. O Great King, in the Dwapara Yuga, untruth and evil increased, unrighteousness having placed a second foot on the earth, and then the Vaishyas began to practice penance, so that dharma, in the form of asceticism, was performed by the three castes, but the Shudras were not permitted to undertake it during that time, O Foremost of Men. O Prince, a man of the lowest caste may not give himself up to penance in the Dwapara Yuga; it is only in the Kali Yuga that the practice of asceticism is permitted to the Shudra caste. During the Dwapara Yuga, it is a great crime for one of Shudra birth to perform such practices. At this time, in thine empire, a rigid penance is being undertaken by a wretched Shudra, O Prince, and this is the cause of the death of that child. An act of mortification that is prescribed is well done and a sixth of the merit goes to the king who rules with justice. But how should he, who does not protect his people, enjoy the sixth portion? O Lion among Men, thou should investigate the happenings in thy kingdom and put down evil wherever it is practiced, so righteousness may flourish, man's life be prolonged and the child be revived." Rama makes a Tour of Inspection of his Kingdom hearing the nectar-like words of Narada, Rama was delighted and said to Lakshmana “O Dear Friend, thou who art faithful to thy vows, go and console that leading brahmin and cause the body of the child to be placed in a jar of oil with precious unguents and fragrant salves so that it is covered and does not suffer decomposition. Act in such a way that the body of the child does not dissolve or decay." Having issued this command to Lakshmana, who was endowed with auspicious marks, the highly illustrious Kakutstha thought of Pushpaka, and said: “Come hither!" Conscious of his intention, the golden chariot appeared before him in the same hour and bowing, said to him “U Behold, I am here at thy service, O Long-armed Prince! U Listening to the gracious words of Pushpaka, Rama paid obeisance to the great Rishis and ascended the chariot. Armed with his bow, his two quivers and his glittering sword, Raghava left the city in the charge of his two brothers, Saumitri and Bharata, and thereafter that monarch directed his course to the western region, which he explored on every side; then he went to the northern region bounded by the Himalayas, but found no one. No trace of evildoing there; later the eastern region was carefully searched by him and that long-armed Prince, from on high in his chariot, beheld people of pure morals there, as stainless as a mirror. Then he, who causes felicity to the great Rishis, ranged the southern region and, on the side of the Shaivaja Mountain, a vast lake appeared to him, on the banks of which the blessed Raghava beheld an ascetic practicing an extremely rigorous penance, his head hanging downwards. On this that Prince approached the one who had given himself up to rigorous practices and said "Blessed art thou, O Ascetic, who art faithful to thy vows ! From what caste art thou sprung, O Thou who hast grown old in mortification and who art established in heroism. I am interested in this matter, I, Rama, the son of Dasaratha. What purpose hast thou in view? Is it heaven or some other object? What boon dost thou seek by means of this hard penance? I wish to know what thou desire in performing these austerities, oh Ascetic. May prosperity attend thee! Art thou a brahmin ? Art thou an invincible Kshatriya? Art thou a Vaishya, one of the third caste or art thou a Shudra? Answer me truthfully !" Then the ascetic, who was hanging head downwards, thus questioned by Rama, revealed his origin to that Prince born of Dasaratha, the foremost of kings, and the reason why he was practicing penance. Hearing the words of Rama of imperishable exploits, that ascetic, his head still hanging downwards, answered "Oh Rama, I was born of a Shudra alliance and I am performing this rigorous penance in order to acquire the status of a God in this body. I am not telling a lie, 0 Rama, I wish to attain the Celestial Region. Know that I am a Shudra and my name is Shambuka." As he was yet speaking, Raghava, drawing his brilliant and stainless sword from its scabbard, cut off his head. The Shudra being slain, all the Gods and their leaders with Agni's followers, cried out, “Well done! Well done!" overwhelming Rama with praise, and rain of celestial flowers of divine fragrance fell on all sides, scattered by Vayu. In their supreme satisfaction, the Gods said to that hero, Rama “Thou hast protected the interests of the Gods, 0 Highly Intelligent Prince, now ask a boon, 0 Beloved Offspring of Raghu, Destroyer of Thy Foes. By thy grace, this Shudra will not be able to attain heaven!" — The Ramayana of Valmiki: Translated by Hari Prasad Shastri p1585

Obviously, Ram Rajya is nothing but a system built on the racial superiority of a people who claim that they have the divine support to perpetuate inequality and annihilation of those who are below them. It's a system that has injustice built-in it eternally.

It is this system that the RSS through BJP wants to enforce in India. It will do everything possible to cling to power. It will use every weapon to intimidate religious minorities and Dalits and coerce and bribe them to accept its supremacy  It would use rape, murder, a terror to achieve its objectives. It has the most organized gang of murderers and terrorists in its ranks and it would not hesitate to burn India for its ideological goals. The recent attacks by these terrorists on the citizens of India provide ample evidence of that.
It is this danger that the world has to recognize, a danger that is far bigger than the Taliban and ISIS, a danger that the world has not yet seen. It must be stopped but the only people who can stop are those Indians of all faiths who believe in plural and secular society where non-violence and human dignity become the cornerstones of the society through a constitution that is respected and loved.
